A very good example of the seldom seen Kriegsmarine Commanders Pennant, usual flown when entering port.
Used by all seagoing Kriegsmarine vessels these Pennants are most associated with U Boats where their small size makes them more obvious in period images.
Measuring about 150cms from hoist end to the tip of the swallows tail and just 4.5 cms in width, the Pennant is constructed in white linen with a reinforced hoist end with various stampings and a rope fixing rope. There is a black printed Maltese Cross and a hand applied M1067 which possibly relates to a Minesweeper.
A rare Pennant and ideal for a U Boat or other Kriegsmarine themed display.
