    About this item

An original Second World War Auxiliary Territorial Service Coloured Field Service Cap and greeting card attributed to Yvonne Scott W/332372.

This coloured field service cap is typical of WW2 construction featuring a wool exterior, cotton lining and suede sweatband. The front of the cap features to brass kings crown general service buttons and an ATS brass cap badge is fitted to the usual place.

Inside the cap the original owner has marked her name in ink and could potentially be traceable.

The cap is in reasonable condition and displays well although it does have a few moth holes as detailed in the pictures. It has also been modified at the rear to make it smaller. This appears to be a period done job and was quite likely done by the original owner.

Included with the cap is a seasonal greeting card which bares the 21st Army Group formation sign and the words 'Headquarters British Army of the Rhine' which suggests that the original owner served overseas. The card is signed inside 'Yvonne'.

All in all a nice little grouping which could make for some interesting further research!
