Original 1940s British Army Officer's Collarless Shirt by 'Coles'

A fantastic original British Army Officers collarless shirt dating from the 1940s and made by 'Coles of Knightsbridge'.

This shirt came with a uniform which dated from the 1940s making this a fairly early example of a British military full button front shirt. The shirt is made from a lovely soft brushed cotton which is a light tan colour. It features a neckband collar to which a detachable collar can be fitted. 

Inside the shirt the original label is still present which bears the makers name as well as the original owners initials and the words 'Do Not Boil'. 

The shirt is a smaller size which will fit around a 38" chest depending on desired fit. When laid flat it measures -

Chest - 22"
Inside arm - 20"
Outside arm - 23"
Shoulders - 17"
Collar - 15"
Length - 34"

The shirt is in good condition for its age and is still very wearable. There are no signs of excessive wear or serious damage although there are some light marks. Overall the shirt displays well but please take time to study the pictures and bear in mind that this is a vintage, pre-owned item which may have small flaws commensurate with age. 

All in all a nice original British officers shirt with a great label. Ideal for the collector and re-enactor alike!
