About this item
A very interesting 1908 pattern Cavalry Troopers sword, produced during WW1 by SB&N Ltd (Sanderson Brothers & Neubould Limited).
The date stamp is partially obscured, but a "1" is visible, and could well be "15" 1915.
Post WW1 this sword was taken out of store and modified for ceremonial duties with the Life Guards, and the scabbard throat bears the marking "LG 26".
A long serving sword, this example left service in the late 1990's, as a parting gift to a retiring officer.
Housed in an original 1915 dated dress scabbard, with markings along the back seam, including the "EFD" indicating Enfield production.
The condition is generally very good, some minor wear to the plating in places but still highly reflective, as can be seen from the images, and retaining its original buff leather dress knot.
Strictly over 18's only. Photo ID will be required before this item can be dispatched.
