About this item
An original pair of 1940s British Royal Navy officer's white cotton tropical uniform trousers in good, wearable condition.
This pattern of trousers was worn by officers in the tropics in the summer months when the weather was warm. They are made from a white coloured cotton drill material and feature a high rise waist and button fly which fastens with butterscotch coloured buttons. More buttons are positioned around the inside of the waistband to which braces can be attached. The front of the trousers feature a twin pleated front and straight slash pockets are located to each hip. There are no rear pockets and the trousers feature a wide leg, both of which are typical 1940s military trouser details.
The trousers will suit around a 31" waist and when laid flat they measure -
Waist - 15 1/2"
Rise - 13 1/2"
Rear rise - 17"
Inside leg - 29 1/2"
Outside leg - 42"
Cuff - 10"
The trousers are in good, wearable condition and display well. There are some signs of use and there is some staining which is to be expected of a pair of vintage white cotton trousers. Please study the pictures carefully before purchasing.
A nice original pair of 1940s military summer trousers.
