Post WW2 Pattern British Denison Smock as worn by Commandos /Parachutists & Special Forces. S.A.S. embroidered arm badge Label missing. Measures arm pit to arm pit 29 inches. Fits a chest of 44 - 46 inches. Height of tunic is 31 inches from top of collar to bottom hem. In good condition (wear to elasticated to cuffs). Brass and chrome Newey poppers. Zip in full working order. Complete with monkey flap. With named booklet and named bandolier to Goddard.
Denis Goddard joined the Royal Artillery in 1938. 1943 - 1945 wartime service included Special Operations Executive radio operator in Greece. This was followed by attachments to the S.A.S. (Special Air Service). S.R.S. (Special Raiding Squadron) and R.S.R. (Raiding Support Regiment) in the Balkans, Northern Italy and Southern France.
