    About this item

Many women volunteers joined the VAD (Voluntary Aid Detachment) in the first and second world wars to help soldiers on the home front and some times overseas in hospitals and field hospitals and canteens.  Their care was invaluable.

This armband is a nice piece of history with the padded VAD badge stitched to a cotton blue armband which can be fastened with a metal buckle. Named and numbered on the reverse.
