About this item
For sale is a Huge WW2 British 128th Rocket Anti Aircraft Battery Royal Artillery Photograph.
This is titled “128 (101 C. OF L. H.G.) ROCKET A.A. BATTERY, R.A. OCTOBER, 1944.”
Z Batteries were World War II Royal Artillery (RA) anti-aircraft units in the UK that used unguided, ground-launched 3-inch (76 mm) rockets. Operating from 1940, these batteries were used for urban defense during the Blitz, often manned by Home Guard or mixed-sex teams. They fired rockets with high-explosive heads, producing a smoke trail and a loud "whistle" to intimidate attackers, though their accuracy was relatively low.
This is in good condition and measures 97cm length x 28.5cm width.
This will be sent via Royal Mail tracked 24 and dispatched within two working days.
