WW2 British Frank Royal Engineers Regimental Glass Memorial Plaque

For sale is a WW2 British Frank From Royal Engineers Regimental Glass Memorial Plaque. This glass plaque shows a lovely photograph of Frank in his royal engineers uniform next to his regimental crest accompanying this plaque is also a photograph of Frank. Please note the plaque has seen better days one of the brass securing pins are missing, and there appears to have been water damage at some point. 

  These plaques were made for the soldiers, airman’s, seaman personnel’s family and sweethearts as memorandums and commemorative plaques.   The Corps of Royal Engineers, usually called the Royal Engineers (RE), and commonly known as the Sappers, is the engineering arm of the British Army. It provides military engineering and other technical support to the British Armed Forces and is headed by the Chief Royal Engineer. The Corps Headquarters and the Royal School of Military Engineering are in Chatham in Kent, England.
