About this item
Second World War British Royal Air Force Type 93 aircraft mast/antenna tapered aerodynamic shape with the remains of the original transfers to the sides stating, “Suitable for 450 MPH or 550 MPH dive.”
Mounted with its Bakelite base on a custom made base and plaque stating '10BB/878/879 and suggesting this is perhaps from a Spitfire but I believe it is more likely to be a mk1V radar aerial as shown in the last image.
Very good overall condition, the circular Bakelite base with damage.
