Original 1950s British Military Khaki Drill Shirt by 'Tom Lee Tailor'

An original British Military shirt made by 'Tom Lee Tailor' in Singapore in the 1950s. 

This shirt clearly started life as a bush jacket. The original owner has had the lower pockets and waist belt loops removed so that it can be worn tucked into trousers or shorts. The shirt features shorts sleeves and is made from a nice, relatively heavy weight cotton drill and features a large collar which is typical of the period. Brown coloured buttons have been added in place of removable buttons and loops are fitted to each shoulder to which epaulettes can be fitted making it ideal for RAF, British Army or Royal Navy. The rear vent has also been stitched up to allow it to be worn as a shirt. 

Inside the shirt the original tailors label is still present and states the maker's name as 'Tom Lee Tailor'. The address and original owner's name are also present with the latter being faint. 

The shirt will suit a 38-40" chest depending on desired fit and when laid flat measures - 

Chest - 22"
Length - 31"
Shoulders - 18"

The shirt is in good condition with only limited signs of wear and age. There is evidence of where the pockets have been removed and a couple of very small holes where this has been done. There is also some wear to the left shoulder as detailed in the pictures. Overall it presents well and is very wearable but please bear in mind that this is a vintage, pre worn item which has small issues commensurate with age.
