Original 1950s US Navy Denim Pullover Shirt - Size 38

A scarce original United States Navy / Coastguard denim half fronted work shirt which is in good condition. 

This shirt is a simple, utilitarian piece of workwear design which harks back to the pre-war period. It is made from a classic blue coloured denim material which was used by the US Army and Navy in the pre-war period. It features a selvedge to the bottom hem as illustrated in picture 8 and a half zip to the front which is a brass 'Conmar' branded example. The shirt features a stand and fall collar and there is a rank badge fitted to the right sleeve. 

The shirt will suit around a 38" chest and when laid flat it measures - 

Chest - 23"
Inside arm - 20 1/2"
Outside arm - 24"
Shoulders - 18 1/2"
Length at rear - 28"

The shirt is in good condition with only limited signs of wear and age. Overall it displays very well and is totally wearable with no serious flaws or damage. There is a repair to the front left of the chest as illustrated in the pictures. Please take time to study the pictures before purchasing and bear in mind that it is a vintage item which may have small issues commensurate with age.
