The Medal Index Card confirms this Maurice's sole entitlement from World War One, so presumably he was one of the troops garrisoned in India for the duration. The 1st Battalion Yorkshire's were solely in India, so presumably Maurice was 1st Battalion. This is borne out by the MIC confirming entitlement to the Indian General Service Medal with North West Frontier 1919 Clasp.
