About this item
Original Second World War British Army officer’s bed roll with leather securing straps and carrying handle.
Named to Captain L. B. Sandy, Royal Artillery, and also retaining a divisional formation flash.
The bed roll opens out to reveal a blue wool-lined sleeping section, which remains in very good condition. There is also a period stamp inside the pillow section.
The exterior canvas shows expected marks and signs of service use/storage, but overall the bed roll remains in very good condition for its age.
Approximate measurements:
Width: 64 cm / 25.2 in
Length from neck to toe: 157 cm / 62 in
A very good original wartime officer’s field sleeping roll with the added interest of being named to a Royal Artillery officer.
Please study the photographs carefully as these form an important part of the description.
