A rare pair of original British Army ordinary ranks wool socks which are a large size and were made in 1952.
This pattern of socks was issued to British soldiers throughout the Second World War and into the 1950s. They feature a distinctive grey with blue and white fleck pattern and are made from a 100 percent wool.
The original labels are present to both the left and right sock. The maker's initials are present as is the 1952 date and the War Department broad arrow. The size is marked as 3 / 11 which is a large size.
The socks are in excellent condition and have clearly never been worn or laundered. They display very well but are a vintage item which may have small issues commensurate with age.
A very nice pair of WW2 pattern socks in a large size.
