    Correctly named 26856 Pte VR Hurren MGC

    Victor Raymond was born to Frederick & Charlotte in 1898

    We find the family in 1911 living at 5 Victoria Place, Black Horse Lane, Ipswich. He worked as an errand boy around his school hours.

    Victor served with the 140th Company Machine Gun Corps and the pair is his full entitlement.

    He also served as 420067 in the 62nd Company Labour Corps as well as 1070351 & 19038 in the 43rd Garrison Battalion of the Royal Fusiliers.

    His address on discharge is7 Tower Ramparts, Ipswich. He was discharged due to wounds from the Royal Fusiliers with the Silver War numbered 464061 (not present)

    He married Nina Longland in 1919.

    In 1939 we find him living at 70 Foundation Street, Ipswich. We see he is incapacitated but working in charge of transport maintenance.

    Victor died in 1964.
