About this item
The second from this small collection of Long Range Desert Group headdress and badges is this well polished L.R.D.G badge attached to a 1940 dated other ranks Field Service Cap.
Converted to a pin back set up, this original badge is fitted so firmly in place that I have not been able to remove it to get clear images of the reverse. Condition is very good with a high degree of polishing but still with good definition to the features.
The Cap shows little if any use with some rubbing evident to the sides and clearly displays the maker’s name and date, along with the appropriate 1940 WD inspection stamp.
A rare Cap to an exceptional Special Services Group.
