Whilst any artefact from the Long Range Desert Group must be considered rare none perhaps are more so than the illusive embroidered Beret badge, very few being known to exist.
Constructed in a hand embroidered bouillon on a black woollen background the Badge features the Scorpion above the L.R.D.G. initials withing a circular surround.
Condition is very good with toning to the bouillon overall.
Perhaps intended for wear by an officer the Badge is quite possibly theatre made.
Quite possibly the only original example you will ever find.
