RAF Pack for Tropical Survival Kit

A very nice example of the Kit Container (22P/2) for the Tropical RAF Survival Kits, carried attached to the 41 pattern Life Saving Waistcoat (Mae West) or parachute harness back pad.

Made of waterproof gabardine, khaki coloured for camouflage purposes, it is double sided, 22” long and 12” wide at the base.  A 15” long, perfectly working zip on one side gives access to a number of compartments whilst on the other side a large flapped pocket is intended for the inclusion of identification flags whilst a horizontal DOT zipped pocket allowed for the stowage of a water bottle. There are three rip handles to detach the container and a carry strap for later use.

Overall condition is very good but the Container is empty.
