About this item
French Model 1832 Artillery Sword.
Resembling the ancient Roman Gladius, and known affectionately to all as the coupe choux or cabbage cutter.
This example comes in very good, untouched condition. The double edged, 19 inch blade with some light rust, edge knocks and signs of sharpening. The maker mark "Jean" to one ricasso, and a small inspection marking or poincon to the other. A rack number is impressed into the brass hilt and has later been struck through.
A more than reasonable scabbardless example.
Strictly over 18's only. Photo ID will be required before this item can be dispatched. Please send this at the time of ordering, to prevent unnecessary delay in your order being dispatched.
