About this item
Excellent example of a c.1900’s British heavy cavalry officer’s sword. With typical steel pierced, honeysuckle hilt and fishskin bound with silver twistwire to the grip – all remaining. Blade in fine condition and retaining the original polish – includes royal cypher and crown of King Edward VII (resigned 1901-1910). Retailed by Philips of Dublin so could be likely that this was carried by an officer in the 6th (Inniskilling) Dragoons. Complete with original steel scabbard – fits very snugly. A nice piece. Blade length is 34 inches (39 inches overall). To view more images of this item and see my other stock please follow the link to my website.
