    About this item

A Victorian piquet weight 1854 pattern infantry officers sword, which has a fully etched blade, bearing the regimental badge and motto of the King's Liverpool Regiment, proof slug, makers marking "Nathan&Co, Covent Street, Haymarket, London" with a floral etched banner showing the name "Captn Ker Fox"

The sword housed in a steel scabbard with two loose rings with some minor rust towards the drag. Blade in good condition with the etching clear and bright. Guard slightly misshapen but could be corrected without too much effort. Small movement between the blade and hilt, which could be corrected with a good replacement leather washer.

The shagreen grip is complete, but the twistwire binding is now absent. The guard still carrying its original sword knot.

    Blade length 32. inches.

Generally a good untouched sword which would benefit from some TLC to improve its appearance, and some research to unlock the story of the original owner.

Strictly over 18's only. Photo ID will be required before this item can be dispatched.
