About this item
26) This was apparently produced during the war and made from wartime crashed aircraft parts? Possibly made in an RAF workshop? Or possibly nothing at all to do with aircraft? It is a match box cover made from folded strong light weight alloy and riveted together. It then has a very cleverly handmade depiction of an elephant. This is again of aluminium and riveted to the cover. Maybe made in India or Africa? It measures 2 ¼ inches long.
