    About this item

A Royal Naval Division Benbow Battalion Prisoner of War produced Frame.

A good example made of a polished fruitwood, with hand painted decoration showing a typical Dutch farm scene, with a man and a woman tending a goose.  At the top of the frame are the letters “RND”

The reverse with paper label inscribed “MADE BY H.S. WREN? BENBOW BATTALION, FIRST ROYAL NAVAL BRIGADE INTERNED IN HOLLAND 191-”.

The fram has no glass, and I suspect it never had any.

    Size 4.75 x 2.75 inches.
