Delhi Durbar 1911 Medal 5688 Private Walter Kelly. Inniskilling Dragoons.

Awarded to Private Walter Kelly of the Inniskilling Dragoons served in India and was present at the Delhi Durbar in 1911 for which he was awarded the Delhi Durbar 1911 medal. Delhi Durbar 1911 Medal (56888 PTE. W. KELLY. INNISKILLING DRAGOONS). Born in 1886 in Sunderland. Even though he is not shown on medal roll he probably was awarded the medal but he was missed off the medal role this was not unusual. He later served with the 2nd Dragoon Guards (Queens Bays). Records show he later served in World War One and entered the French Theatre of Operations 26th August 1914. Records show he died of wounds on 25th September 1916. He is remembered at Etaples Military Cemetery. (with copy MIC, CWG and papers etc.).
