About this item
An original pair of 'Trousers, No. 1, Dress Blue, O.R.' dating from the 1940s and in good condition.
This pattern of trousers was worn with the matching tunic on certain occasions. They are made from a very dark blue wool and features a wide red stripe down the outside of each leg. Straight slash pockets are located to the hips and twin pleats can be found to the front of the trousers. Waist adjusters are located to each hip which is a typical period feature and the fly fastens with buttons which is again common for British clothing during this period.
The trousers will suit around a 29" waist depending on desired fit and when laid flat they measure -
Waist - 14 1/2"
Rise - 13 1/2"
Rear rise - 17"
Inside leg - 31"
Outside leg - 41 1/2"
Cuff - 9 1/2"
The trousers are in good condition with some signs of wear and age. Overall they display well and they are still very wearable but please take time to study the pictures before purchasing and bear in mind that they are a vintage, pre-worn item which may have small issues commensurate with age.
A nice original pair of British military trousers.
