About this item
An original pair of British Khaki Drill Trousers dating from the Second World War and in good condition.
The trousers are typical of wartime period British military trousers featuring a high-rise waist, wide leg, slash hip pockets and a single rear pocket. They have a button fly and a tabbed waist fastening and two buttons to choose from to the interior. Belt loops are found positioned around the waist and a single pocket can be found to the rear.
Being of private purchase origin there are no labels or markings. The stitching and the material used for the pocket bags are typical of theatre made items however as are the buttons.
The trouser will suit someone of around a 32-33" waist and when laid flat the trousers measure -
Waist - 16 1/2"
Rise - 15"
Rear rise - 18"
Inside leg - 30 1/2"
Outside leg - 43"
Cuff - 10"
The trousers are in very good condition with signs of use or wear and use. There is some staining as can be seenin the pictures but overall they display very well. Please bear in mind that these are a vintage pair of pre worn trousers and may have small issues commensurate with age.
All in all a nice pair of original theatre made KD trousers in a good wearable size. Ideal for the collector and re-enactor alike!
