About this item
An original US WW2 era Navy dress tunic. This is the traditional 'dress' uniform of the US Navy, it's origins dating back some 150 years. This example, has the white piping, helping to differentiate it from the Undress Blues, and has a Ruptured Duck patch, for honourable discharge at the end of World War Two. A couple of moth spots, which are pictured but the uniform is named on the label, albeit difficult to make out.
The three cuff stripes denote a rank of Seaman, 1st Class. Furthermore, the red braid on the shoulder denotes the Seaman belonged to the Artificer Branch.
Small size, perhaps 34"-36" chest.
