    About this item

This is a brand new pair of 1952 dated, but WW2 pattern over

Originally designed as overalls, but this design was used as the first Home Guard uniform before being issued with the 37 pat battle dress in 1942.

These are made slightly bigger than the indicated size to accommodate the uniform underneath

This pattern of trousers came into issue with the British Army during the Second World War and remained standard issue well into the 1950s.

These trousers were used for fatigues and are made from a green denim sanforized cotton, typical of that used for workwear in the mid century period.

Based on the serge battledress design, these trousers feature a map pocket to the left leg, a first field dressing pocket to the right hip and slash pockets in the usual place in each side seam.

These were found thirty plus years ago wrapped and baled in wax paper. And never used, hence the creases in the trousers

The sizes are a size 8

    HEIGHT ..........5' 9" - 5'10"

WAIST.............35"-36" But the actual waist band is 38" so it can be worn over your uniform
