About this item
An original pair of British Army heavy weight trousers circa 1960's
100% Cotton / wool lined.
Missing brace buttons, but have a set that I will supply.
An excellent example of this style of trouser with simple and uniquely British features like a small dressing pocket and a single thigh-height map pocket. Made with a hard-wearing wind-resistant sateen fabric, fully lined with reinforced knees and seat. ideal for chillier months.
The trousers also have reinforced knees, slash pockets to the hips and belt loops. A metal double ended zipper closes the fly and is marked 'Flash' to the front and 'Made in England' to the reverse.
Very good condition with light signs of real wear - No damage. The size lable has washed away, but the care label is still readable.
Size 32" Waist 30" inside leg.
This pattern of trousers came into use with the British Army in the 1960s and were based on the 1952 Pattern uniform issued to British troops serving in Korea. These trousers would have been issued as part of a set which included a matching combat jacket.
