Original 1952 British Military Woollen Under Shirt - Size 3 - NOS

An original 1952 Dated British Military Undershirt in brand new unworn condition. These shirts came from an old army surplus store and are fresh out of their original packaging!

This pattern of undershirt was used by the British Army and RAF during the Second World War and during the 1950s. It is a simple crew neck design which is pulled on over the head. It is made from an oatmeal coloured wool which is machine made. Inside the original label is still present and states the manufacturer's name as 'Wolsey Ltd'. The 1952 date is present as is the War Department broad arrow marking and the size of 3.

The top is a larger size which will fit around a 40" chest depending on desired fit. Because it is wool it stretches out and is designed to hug the wearer's body closely. When laid flat it measures - 

Chest -  20"
Shoulders - 20 1/2"
Length - 31"

The item is in good condition with no signs of previous wear or use. Please study the pictures and bear in mind that this is a vintage item which may have small issues commensurate with age. 

An excellent wearable original example with a clear date and in a good size.
