About this item
An original pair of Royal Navy MK 2 Foul Weather trousers made by Belstaff in the 1970s.
These trousers are the rarer MK2 version issued with the matching smock. The label features the old style numbering system and the A78 contract number which was used from the late 1960s and throughout the 1970s.
The trousers are made from a blue coloured waterproof material and feature an elasticated waist and buttoning tabs to the bottom of each leg. Inside the trousers the original label is still present and bears the maker's name of 'Belstaff International' and the size of 2. The War Department broad arrow marking is also present as is the contract number.
When laid flat the trousers measure -
Waist - 15 1/2" (will pull out to 19" due to elastic)
Inside leg - 31"
Rise - 18"
Rear rise - 19 1/2"
The trousers are in good condition with some limited signs of wear and use. There are some marks and staining as can be seen in the pictures.
Overall a good pair of this pattern of trousers which aren't often seen on the market.
