Original British Army 1960 Pattern Combat Trousers - Size 7
An original pair of British Army 1960 Pattern Combat Trousers in good condition and in a size 5.
These trousers came into use with the British Army in the 1960s and were based on the 1952 Pattern uniform issued to British troops serving in Korea. These trousers would have been issued as part of a set which included a matching combat jacket.
The trousers are made from a plain olive green coloured cotton satten and feature a First Field Dressing pocket to the right hip and a map pocket to the left thigh. The trousers also have reinforced knees, slash pockets to the hips and belt loops. A metal zipper closes the fly and is marked 'CLIX'.
Inside the trousers there is evidence of where the original labels would have been present but have been removed. Whilst the labels are no longer present, the trousers are undoubtedly a size 7. They will suit around a 30" waist and when laid flat they measure -
Waist - 15 1/2"
Rise - 16"
Rear rise - 18 1/2"
Inside leg - 33"
Outside leg - 47"
Cuff - 8 1/2"
The condition of the trousers is very good with only small signs of wear and use. They display very well and are still very bright and fresh. The only flaw is some storage marks to one leg as shown in the pictures. Please study the pictures before purchasing and bear in mind that these are a vintage pair of trousers which may have small issues commensurate with age.
All in all a very clean pair of combat trousers in a good size!
