About this item
An original pair of British Army Women's Auxiliary Territorial Service 'Skirts, Divided' which date from the Second World War period.
This pattern of shorts was produced alongside a matching top and was issued to members of the ATS as part of their physical training uniform. The shorts are made from a brown coloured cellular cotton, or 'aertex' as it is often referred to. This is a breathable fabric which was popular for sportswear during the mid Century period. The shorts feature a divider but still look like a skirt. There is a side button opening which fastens with plastic buttons. The original label is still present inside the short although it has been washed out leaving no details legible.
The shorts will suit a 32" waist and when laid flat they measure 16" across the waist.
The overall condition of the shorts is good with no serious flaws or damage but please take time to study the pictures before purchasing and bear in mind that this is a vintage, pre-worn item which may have small flaws commensurate with age.
A good original wartime example.
