About this item
An original pair of khaki drill shorts which date from the Second World War.
This pattern of shorts is a typical wartime pattern and are often found in wartime groupings. Whilst there is no date inside the shorts, this pattern was only produced in the 1940s which makes them ideal for any WW2 impression. Made from a light beige coloured cotton drill, the shorts feature a button fly and buttoning waist adjusters. Belt loops are fitted around the waist and a single pocket is located to the rear. All of the buttons are butterscotch colour horn examples.
The shorts are a smaller size which will suit a 30" waist. When laid flat they measure -
Waist - 15"
Rise - 14"
Rear rise - 17"
Inside leg - 8 1/2"
Outside leg - 20 1/2"
Cuff - 14"
The shorts are in very good condition as can be seen in the pictures. There is some light staining and limited signs of wear and age which is to be expected. Please take time to study the pictures before purchasing and bear in mind that they are a vintage, per-worn item which may have other small flaws commensurate with age.
A nice original pair of original wartime shorts.
This is a vintage item which is 'sold as seen'
