1922 Pattern Service dress Jacket - Corps of Military Police

1922 Pattern Service dress Jacket - Corps of Military Police

    THE MILITARIA DEALERS

Generally referred to as “Service Dress Jacket for Other Ranks” this pre austerity pattern is undated and without label and of the type Briton went to war with in 1939.

This example has the brass shoulder titles of the Corps of Military Police and is complete with a good MP brassard and chained 1941 dated Hudson whistle.

Constructed in the standard Khaki serge the Jacket has two lower flapped pockets and two flapped and pleated breast pockets. There is a single row of five buttons for closure. All buttons are general service. On each sleeve are the chevrons of a corporal.

Overall condition is very good. There are three very small moth holes on the left sleeve and one larger hole to the lower back on the left side. There are three small holes behind the right shoulder strap. I have shown all these areas.

The Brassard is in very good condition with all press fasteners by Newey
