About this item
An original 1952 Dated RAF Ordinary Airman's Four Pocket tunic.
This pattern of tunic came into use with the RAF during 1936 and saw use throughout the whole of the Second World War and for many years after with all men under then rank of Flight Sergeant.
This example still retains its original label which states Montague Burton as the manufacturer and the year of manufacture as 1952. The label is bare the size which in this case is No.8 which will fit someone of height 5'7" - 5'8" and a 37-38" chest.
The tunic is missing its buttons and isn't in perfect condition generally but this has been reflected in the price.
Altogether a reasonable post-war tunic which would make a good stand-in for a wartime example.
