About this item
An original pair of RAF Type E2 Anti Glare Spectacles dating from the early part of the Second World War.
This pattern of sunglasses was produced for the RAF prior to the introduction of the G Type sunglasses in the mid-war period. They feature chromium plated metal frames and green tinted glass lenses. The fold out arms feature wrap around ear pieces and leather sections are fitted to each side which is a notable feature of this pattern.
The glasses come complete with their original metal case which is in good functional condition. It bears the Air Ministry AM and crown marking to the lid as well as the title of 'Spectacles Anti Glare Type E2' and the makers name.
A good example of the early war sunglasses which would make a good addition to any collection.
