    About this item

An original 1942 dated 1937 pattern webbing belt made by 'MECo' which is in good condition.

This pattern of webbing belt came into issue with the British Army in 1938 and saw use throughout the Second World War as well as in the post-war period. It features all brass fittings which is standard for early war made webbing items. It has been blancoed with a nice deep KG3 colour which is typical of wartime belts and appears to be applied in the period rather than recently.

This example is clearly marked to the inside with the maker's initials of 'MECo Ltd' which denotes the manufacturer as Mills Equipment Company. The 1942 date is also present as is the size which is marked as 'S'.

At its full extent the belt measures 41" long fully extended so can fit up to a 36" waist.

A hard to find wartime dated belt in good condition.
