A hard to find original 1917 dated British Army rifle sling in good condition.
Webbing rifle slings were made for the British Army for many decades after the Great War and remained unchanged. This example however is a rare and guaranteed original example from the First World War.
The sling features a webbing body and brass ends. These are maker makered 'Wrights Ltd' below which is the 1917 date. The sling has been blancoed a light shade of green as is typically found on original examples.
The overall condition is good with some signs of age etc. There is no serious damage or flaws and overall it displays well.
A hard to find item which is a must have for the serious WW1 collector.
