    About this item

An original United States Marine Corps P44 Herringbone Twill tunic dating from the Second World War and in good condition.

This original WW2 period USMC shirt is made from the green HBT fabric used by the US forces during the WW2 and into the 1950s. It features USMC marked metal doughnut buttons which are all intact aside from one under the collar. The large flapped chest pocket on the outside of the jacket features a very clean and bright USMC insignia as well as a pen pocket section. The gas flap has been removed from the interior which is a common modification and makes for a much more wearable jacket.

The shirt is a larger size which should fit around a 42" chest depending on desired fit. When laid flat it measures -

    Chest - 23"
    Shoulders - 17 1/2"
    Inside arm - 19 1/4"
    Outside arm - 23"
    Length - 28"

The condition is very good indeed with some signs of wear and age. There is fraying to the cuffs and some small marks etc. Please take time to study the pictures and bear in mind that this is a vintage, pre-owned jacket which has small issues commensurate with age.

A design classic with loads of great details and in a large size!
