The first unquestionably original example I have ever encountered, this SS marked Binocular Case for the 7x50 and 10x50 Dienstglas Binoculars is from my own collection.
Some 30 years ago at the height of my Binocular collecting I bought a pair of ordinary Zeiss 7x50 Dienstglas Binoculars in this case. It was some 20 years later that I noticed by chance the distinct SS and RZM stamps on the underside of the closure strap. The unremarkable Binoculars have long gone but I retained the case because of its rarity.
The strap is double stamped with the SS runes and circles overlapping the RZM stamp. They are not crisp, but they are unmistakeable. The case itself is in very good condition but the markings on the case lip are rubbed, either to erase the eagle and Swastika or through wear.
