    About this item

An original World War Two era British Army Officer's four pocket khaki drill tunic in good condition.

The tunic follows the standard pattern used by British officer's throughout the Second World War. It features two pleated chest pockets which have RAF style scalloped pocket flaps, two bellows pockets to the skirt and a pointed cuff. The jacket is fitted with a set of original butterscotch coloured revolving shank buttons which are held in place with brass split rings. There are holes to the lap through which collar badges have previously been fitted and there is evidence of where rank stars have been fitted to each shoulder.

The tunic is a long size which will suit around a 34" chest. When laid flat the tunic measures -

    Chest - 19 1/2"
    Waist - 17 1/2"
    Inside arm - 17 3/4"
    Outside arm - 24"
    Length - 28"
    Shoulders -

The tunic is in good condition with signs of age and wear. It is still very wearable but has some staining and signs of being ironed. Please study the pictures and bear in mind that this is a pre-worn, vintage military tunic with wear commensurate with this.

A nice original WW2 period tunic which would suit a re-enactor or collector well.
